I graduated in June of 2009 from Knox College with a BA in Theater. I now live in Chicago and work as a Stage Manager.
I have worked with several companies since moving to Chicago, including Vitalist Theatre, Eclipse Theatre, Urban Theatre Company, Red Tape Theatre, and The House Theatre of Chicago.
Other professional experience includes two summers interning at American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, primarily helping create props for several shows, but also learning a variety of skills in costuming building and repair. I also as worked for Theatre for Young America in Kansas City, Missouri in high school where I Stage Managed extensively.
While a student at Knox I worked in the Scene Shop as a Teachers Assistant. This job gave me basic skills for set construction and lighting. I was a member of the Theatre Advisory Board, where I held the position of Studio Theatre Technical Director. In this position I ran load-ins, changeovers, and strikes, as well as maintained the basic up-keep of Knox College's Studio Theatre.
I took several lighting and set design courses while at Knox. I Stage Managed several student shows in Knox’s Studio Theatre, as well as several Main Stage Shows in Harbach Theatre.
